How to Play Unfeathered
Every day, a new Bible verse is hidden. Your goal is to reveal it in as few guesses as possible.
1. Guess a word
Type any word into the input box. If that word is in the verse, all instances of it will be revealed! Guessed words will appear in green.

2. Common words are pre-revealed
Common "function" words (like and, the, of, for) are already revealed for you to give you a head start. These appear in italics.

3. Using Hints
Stuck? Use a Hint 💡 to reveal a random word. However, each hint adds 3 points (equivalent to 3 guesses) to your final score. Hinted words appear in gold.

4. The Win Condition
The game ends once every content word in the verse has been revealed (either by guessing or by hint).
5. Scoring & Bonus
Your score is calculated based on:
- Total Guesses: +1 per unique word guessed.
- Hints Used: +3 per hint.
- Reference Bonus: Successfully guessing the Book, Chapter, and Verse after solving the text will subtract 20% of your guesses!
Lower scores are better!
